BioI came to fanfiction after the fourth Potter book came out and I was desperately searching the net for something, anything, to tidy me over until the next one came out. Fanfiction did that very nicely, and then I discovered that I could write my own, as well! Fantastic.
I never really got the whole ship thing until the sixth book came out and I was so shocked by the Harry/Ginny that I completely understood why one would prefer to write about one's favoured pairings rather than the canon one.
I've been writing fanfiction since 2003 now, and Potter fanfiction since 2005.
I joined livejournal to be able to post in a challenge with a friend, and I'm pretty new to the whole journal thing. Will try to figure out how it works. ;)
